Music Department Chair ---  Choral and Instrumental Instructor

Greenleaf Friends Academy is seeking a music teacher to lead our storied program . The ideal candidate would be a music generalist able to teach both vocal and instrumental classes. The teacher will oversee the K-12 music program, producing fall and summer concerts and performing at assorted community events. The music program at GFA is an essential part of the classical Christian education students receive and will be a point of excellence. A music teacher at GFA should seek to cultivate in students a love for music through integrating music theory, history, and both instrumental and vocal practice into instruction. A bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field is preferred.

Upper School Math Teacher

Greenleaf Friends Academy is seeking a full-time upper school math teacher to join our faculty team for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will have a vibrant and observable faith in the Lord Jesus, a passion for discipling students, a demonstrable love of learning, the ability to inspire students to pursue excellence in mathematics, and a willingness to learn more about classical Christian education and implement classical methodologies into their own classroom instruction. All qualified candidates will possess an undergraduate or higher degree in mathematics, secondary math education, or a related field, and must be able to teach up through Pre-Calculus. State certification is preferred but not required.

Grammar School Teachers 

Greenleaf Friends Academy is seeking 1st and 2nd grade teachers to join our faculty team. Greenleaf Friends Academy is deeply committed to the classical Christian tradition and to the cultivation of virtue and mature Christian character in the lives of our students. The ideal teaching candidate would have a love of learning and a background in or willingness to learn about classical Christian education. Our Grammar School teachers’ partner with families to equip students to know, love and practice that which is true, good, and beautiful as they seek to live for the glory of God and to love their neighbor as themselves. Teaching experience in a classical school and a bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Assistant Property Maintenance Manager 

This maintenance position plays a role in helping the school to fulfill its mission and vision statement by maintaining an environment that both demonstrates and provides an environment for students to develop.  The essential functions of this position will be maintenance and repairs of facilities, maintenance of grounds and maintenance of vehicles. This position reports to the Facilities Director.

Qualifications:

  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to be able to support and promote the school mission and vision statements.
  • Exhibit good interpersonal skills to relate well with administration, staff, parents, and students.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license with no serious violations.  Preferable to have a CDL with a bus endorsement.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and have experience in at least 3 areas of maintenance. (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, vehicle maintenance)
  • Take Ministry Safe training course and pass a background check.

Compensation:  Hourly – TBD

Daycare Positions Available -

All of These Daycare Positions Are Available Immediately!

Greenleaf Friends Academy is  looking to hire several positions in the Daycare/pre-school areas. ( The facilities are located on the GFA campus 5 miles West of Caldwell) The Daycare is a fun loving Christian based facility, with supportive staff, that is looking for like-minded candidates who love to work with children.

All of these positions require the following:

  • Experience preferred but not required.
  • Pass an independent  backgroud check
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Certified in CPR/First Aid
  • Take the yearly required courses of the State of Idaho Licensing

Part Time Day Opener and Closer 

This person is responsible for:

    • Opener receives and checks in kids at drop off
    • Helps get them settled for the day
    • Afternoon closer engages with kids throughout the afternoon,
    • feeding snacks 
    • doing some chores and checking out kids when parents arrive for pickup.

Substitute Daycare Workers

Substitute Daycare Workers are needed for staff personal days off, sickness or when extra help is needed. 

This is an on-call type of position.

Substitute Teacher

Greenleaf Friends Academy is looking for substitute teachers. This is a part-time position and reports to the Principal. The Academy encourages anyone interested to apply.

School Bus Driver

Employment at Greenleaf Friends Academy is contingent upon the results of an independent background check.

Greenleaf Friends Academy (LOCATED 5 miles WEST of Caldwell) is looking to hire an experienced school bus driver with current CDL and school bus endorsement for our proposed school bus route for the 2021-2022 school year. We will have an am route and a pm route each day. The start date will be mid-August. 

Minimum requirements: Must possess CDL and School Bus Endorsement.

  • Start Date:  August 2021
  • Compensation:  $15.00 / hour
