GFA’s Desired Outcomes for a Graduate – Part 2
“It seems to me a brief and true definition of virtue is ‘rightly ordered love.’” – St. Augustine Two weeks ago we started a new
Since 1908, Greenleaf Friends Academy has been partnering with families to provide a Christ-centered education for their children. A lot has happened in the 115 years since GFA’s founding, but our signature joyfully classical approach to culture and education has never been stronger. Greenleaf Friends Academy remains committed to providing an education to its students that is academically excellent and predicated on a singular pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.
At Greenleaf Friends Academy (GFA), our primary work is the formation of the whole student: body, mind, and soul. While we care about the skills our students are acquiring – things like the ability to solve a long division problem, write a five-paragraph essay, or balance a chemical equation – these things pale when compared to the eternal formation of a person.
Located in the tranquil Treasure Valley, the Academy has grown much over the past century. Though GFA is an official ministry of Greenleaf Friends Church, our school is a very ecumenical and close-knit community. We have students from over 40 different churches from throughout the Treasure Valley and as far away as southeastern Oregon.
