GFA Experiences Growth
Faculty, staff, and returning students welcomed several new families to the GFA School Family this fall! Students are settling into their classes, making new friends, and getting involved in many activities.
STEM-based Program at GFA.
The high school science department is in the beginning stages of implementing a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) based program at GFA. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines – science, technology, engineering and mathematics – in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real world application. Though the United States has historically been a leader in these fields, fewer students have been focusing on these topics recently. Stephen Craft, high school science teacher, has STEM teaching experience and expertise to bring GFA into a STEM focused program. Click Here to Donate
