GFA Experiences Growth
Faculty, staff, and returning students welcomed several new families to the GFA School Family this fall! Students are settling into their classes, making new friends, and getting involved in many activities.

STEM-based Program at GFA.
The high school science department is in the beginning stages of implementing a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) based program at GFA. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines – science, technology, engineering and mathematics – in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real world application. Though the United States has historically been a leader in these fields, fewer students have been focusing on these topics recently. Stephen Craft, high school science teacher, has STEM teaching experience and expertise to bring GFA into a STEM focused program. Click Here to Donate

The Boise Depot is a beautiful historic Spanish-style structure placed on top of the bench with a beautiful view of Idaho’s capital city. Designed by New York architects, the building opened in 1925 to elaborate fanfare. The Great Hall is a beautiful space to spend an elegant evening together in support of Greenleaf Friends Academy. The “Joy of Giving” Christmas Gala is scheduled for Sunday, December 13th at 7:00 pm. Come early for tours up to the Clock Tower where you will enjoy a 360 degree view of the City of Boise at night. Decorated for the Christmas season this will be an evening to remember. Mark your calendars now! Click Here for more information. Click Here for tickets.
